County Pioneer Dies At Parma Home

Elmer Robert Hamilton
of Parma died Saturday evening at his home at the age of 62.
He was born in Storrey county, Ia., and crossed the plains
over the Old Oregon Trail with his parents when an infant.
The family first settle near Eagle and then near Parma where
Mr. Hamilton spent most of his time improving the place which
has been his home since he was married in 1904.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora; eleven
children, Mrs. Charlotte Bowers of Boise, Stewart of Salt Lake
City, George, Elmer E., Edna, Ralph, Leslie, Orville,
Margaret, Alma, and Alta, all of Parma; three
grandchildren, one brother, Eugene, of Salem, Ore.; two
sisters, Mrs. Cora Colson, of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Clara
Shurtz of Parma.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30
in Parma. Interment will be in the Ten Davis cemetery.
The body is at the Peckham Funeral chapel. |
