Esther Lucile Dillon, 77, of Wilder, passed away Wednesday,
December 4, 1991, at a Caldwell hospital. Funeral services
will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Crossroads Assembly of
God Church, Wilder. Rev. Dan St. Clair of Crossroads Assembly
of God Church and Rev. Allen Nelson of Caldwell, Idaho, will
officiate. Interment will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Mrs. Dillon was born June 19, 1914, at Clinton, Missouri,
to Clarence E. and Regina D. Hawley. She came to the Fargo
Valley near Wilder with her family where she was raised. She
married William E. "Ed" Dillon October 21, 1933, at the home
of her parents. They farmed in the Big Bend community until
October of 1941 when they moved to the Fargo Valley where she
has since resided. Mr. Dillon passed away October 18, 1990.
Mrs. Dillon was a member of the Free Methodist Church and
lived her life to the glory of God. She loved to teach
children in church Sunday school and Bible school and also
taught C.Y.C, in the church. She had served as pianist in the
church and had also served as president of W.C.T.U. in the
Fargo area.
She is survived by a daughter, Regina Louden of Greenleaf;
two sons C. Evan Dillon of Salem, Oregon, and Kenneth Dillon
of Wilder; two sisters, Ruth Kincaid of Lewiston, Idaho, and
Lela Hull of Newberg, Oregon; ten grandchildren: nine
great-grandsons and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three
sisters and a grandson. |
