Ekberg, 97, of
Caldwell, died
Wednesday,
November 29,
1995 at
a Nampa hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be
held at 2 p.m. Monday,
December 4,
1995 at
Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Larry Ragains of Parma will
officiate. Interment will follow at Lower Boise Cemetery,
Parma.
Ellis was born
September 30,
1898 near Vinita, Indian Territory, which is now the state of
Oklahoma. She married John E. Ekberg September 1, 1919 and
they had a long and happy marriage of 61 years. Three
children were born to this union: Lois Belk living in
Caldwell, William Ekberg of rural Caldwell and Maxine Gahley
of rural Parma.
John and Ellis lived in
Oklahoma and
Texas until 1932 , then moved to Oregon and then to Idaho in
1938 where they resided near Parma until John passed away.
Ellis moved to rural Caldwell where she resided until her
death.
She is survived by one sister and brother, three
children; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grand-children and
many friends. |
