Funeral services for David H. Brown, 41, of Greenleaf, who
died Friday, September 17, 1993 of natural causes, will be
conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 25, at the Greenleaf
Friends Church,
Greenleaf, Idaho.
Reverend Don Lamb of Greenleaf and Reverend Kenneth Pitts of
Sunnyridge Manor will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
David was born July 27, 1952, in Spokane,
Washington. He
graduated from North Central High School in Spokane and then
entered the U.S. Army for a time. David married Debbie
McGovern on October 4, 1972, and to this union was born a son,
Jason Eugene Arlo Brown. Shortly after David’s 2nd
birthday he was injured in an industrial accident in Soda
Springs, Idaho. This left him a paraplegic for the rest of
his life. He was active in wheelchair basketball for a time.
David attended Boise
State University and
Spokane Community College. He loved the great outdoors and
most of all the beautiful desert.. He enjoyed camping, sports
and attending many pro games. David also enjoyed playing his
guitar and making up songs. He enjoyed writing stories and
had a special interest in photography.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Spokane; a son,
Jason Brown of Spokane; his father and stepmother, Harold and
Vivian Brown, and mother and stepfather, Edith and Gilbert
Pinto; four brothers, Douglas and his wife, Missy Brown in
Oklahoma, Ken and his wife, Ilona Brown of Spokane, Jack Brown
of Portland, OR, and Roy Brown of Spokane; four sisters, Diane
Payne of Spokane, Shirley Kluver of Salem, OR, Joanne and her
husband, Greg Warren of Caldwell, Ginger McGovern of Spokane;
maternal grandfather, Art Myers; and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal
grandmother, Rachel Myers and his paternal grandparents,
Beatrice and Joshua Brown. |
