Darrell W. English, 85,
of Adrian, Oregon passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 1990 at an
Ontario nursing home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Sterry
Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell, Idaho. Pastor William
Webster will officiate. Burial will follow in the Roswell
Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. English was born Oct. 2, 1905
at Wallowa, Ore., the son of Ora and Dora English. He moved
with his family to Caldwell in 1922. He married Ruby Clary
Nov. 10, 1939 at Caldwell. They continued to make Roswell
their home until World War II when he moved to work for J.A.
Terteling & Son at various places in the U.S. In 1944 they
moved to a farm in the Big Bend, Oregon area and in 1953 they
purchased the farm at Adrian where they had since resided. He
retired in 1969 after 12 years of working for Ore-Ida Foods.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ruby of Adrian; a son
and daughter-in-law, Ross and Carey English and their two
children, Jay and Denyse, all of Covington, CA, a daughter and
son-in-law, Eleanor and Stan Thomas and their four children,
Toshia, Kevin, Lori and Darren, all of Adrian; a brother,
Orville English of Olympia, Wash.; a sister, Louise Boren of
Nampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two
sisters and two sons, Wayne and Dean English. |
