Donald Comfort

Donald Ralph Comfort, 64, of Greenleaf, Idaho, died July 3, 1993, following heart surgery.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at the Greenleaf Friends Church, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery.
Don was born September 11, 1928, at Greenleaf, Idaho, to Ralph and Edith Comfort, who preceded him in death.
Don spent his early years in Greenleaf, later moving to Woodland, Idaho, and returning to Greenleaf to complete high school, graduating from Greenleaf Friends Academy in 1946.
On June 24, 1948, he married Marilyn Williams, also of Greenleaf.  Don and Marilyn began their family farming operation at Greenleaf in 1951.  Don retired from farming in 1984, and has since been employed by Mike’s Metal Fabrication as office manager/bookkeeper.
In addition to his many other endeavors, Don was a member of the Greenleaf Friends Church for his entire life, a strong supporter of the Academy, and a devoted family man.  His greatest joy rested in his family.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn, he is survived by his six children and their spouses, Dwight and Penny Comfort of Meridian, Christine and Alan Wachlin of Sherwood, Oregon, Karen and Charlie Robinson of Caldwell, Rob and Debbie comfort of Greenleaf, Beverly and Martin Vance of Caldwell, and Rodney and Lisa Comfort of Nampa; along with 12 wonderful grandchildren who hold special memories of their grandpa.  His five brothers, Carroll of Rathdrum, Idaho, Marion and Gene of Newberg, Oregon, Herb Comfort of LaGrande, Oregon, and Duane Comfort of Arvada, Colorado, share their loss with his three sisters, Audrey Mirgon of Seattle, Washington, Leola Clem of Boise, and Lorraine Jordan of Tacoma, Washington.
The family suggests memorials be made in his name to the Greenleaf Friends Academy, Greenleaf, Idaho.

Friends may call today until 7 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell
