Don Carver

     Graveside services for Don Carver, 60, of Wilder, who died Saturday, June 2, at home of cancer, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, in the Wilder Cemetery, Cameron Gepner, an elder of the Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate.
     He was born March 21, 1924, at Verdigre, Neb.  He moved to Idaho at age 7, and attended school in Wilder.  He entered the U.S. Army in May 942, and served in the European Theater.  He was honorably discharged in December, 1945.  He married Kathryn Aten of Arena Valley, Sept. 13, 1946.  They lived in the Wilder area and moved to Homedale in 1955, where the family engaged in the trucking business until 1973, when they moved back to Arena Valley to farm.
     He was a long-time member of the Owyhee Wrangler Riding Horse Club of Homedale.
     He is survived by his wife; a son, Donald of Lewiston; his mother, Viola of Wilder; five brothers, Alvin of Boise, Bill of Caldwell, Ron of Parma, Raymond of Caldwell, Rick of Portland.; four sisters, Elsie Robey of Parma, Imogene Schimmels of Chicago, Ill., Betty Johnson of Moses Lake, Wash., and Barbara Marchant of Nampa.; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his father, a son, Danny, in 1965, and a brother, Bob, in 1961.
     Friends may call at the Homedale Chapel today from noon until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until noon.
