Donald Buell

     Donald B. Buell, 70, of Middleton, died on Sunday, Sept. 26, 1993, at his home from heart failure.  Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 1993, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Bishop Norman Holm of the Nampa Second Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.  Burial with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps of Boise will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.
     Donald B. Buell was born on Nov. 22, 1922, in Madrid, Nebraska, to William and Ruby Buell.  He was reared and educated at Madrid, Nebraska and Nyssa, OR, where he attended high school.  He married Venice Blake on July 20, 1940, at Payette.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during  World War II.  Following his honorable discharge he and his wife made their home in Nyssa where he worked as a policeman.  The family later moved to Bremerton, WA, where he worked as a fireman in the shipyards.  In 1956 they moved to Nampa.  Don worked as a welder at the Amalgamated Sugar Factory later going to work at McClure's Machine Shop where he worked until his retirement.  In 1972 he and his wife moved to Middleton.  He wife preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 1988.  Donald was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
     Donald is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Lynn and Dean Ashcroft, Nampa; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Connie Buell, Idaho Falls, ID and Don and Gonnie Buell, St. George, UT; his mother, Mrs. Ruby Buell, Ocean Park, WA; his sister, Laretta Seaman, Ocean Park, WA; 2 brothers, Derrell Buell, Kennewick, WA, and Dwight Buell, Ocean Park, WA, and 9 grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by his father, a sister and a brother.
     The family will greet friends at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 7 to 9 p.m.
