Nampa… Services for Burt S. Cook, 73 of Route 1, Melba,
who died in a Boise hospital Monday evening following a short
illness, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Alsip
chapel with the Rev. Harley Adams, pastor of the Melba Friends
Church, Officiating, assisted by the Rev. Henry Tromberg of
the War Eagle Barracks 459, Veterans of World War 1.
Interment will follow at
Melba
Cemetery with the military honors by War Eagle Barracks 459
VFW and Divin Flonecker Post 126 American Legion at graveside.
He was born
July 14, 1897, at Almeria, Neb, and was raised in Nebraska.
He was married to Ada M. Klefman May 23, 1925 at Broken Bow,
Neb. They moved to Meridian in 1929 where they resided for
six years. In 1935 they moved to Melba where he has farmed
since that time. He was a member and past master of Walters
Butte Grange 130, a member and past commander of Divin
Flonecker Post 126, American Legion, and a member of War Eagle
Barracks 459, VFW.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ada M. Cook, Melba, two sons Larry
Cook, Kirkland, Wash., Lee Cook of Nampa; two daughters, Mrs.
Clark (Madge) Wylie of Melba and Mrs. Carl (Mary Jane)
Winterfield of Portland; one brother, Jay Cook of Eugene,
Ore., and by 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a
daughter Maxine and a grandson, Warren Wylie, in addition to
his parents. The family suggest that contributions be made to
