Barney Lee Clabaugh, 73, of Boise, formerly of Middleton, died
Friday, May 3, 1991, at his home of natural causes.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7,
at the Middleton Cemetery. Services are under the
direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mr. Clabaugh was born Aug. 29, 1918, at Serlarville,
Tenn., to John H. and Myrtle Clabo. He came to the
Treasure Valley as a child and was raised and educated here.
He lived throughout the Treasure Valley most of his life and
served for a number of years in the Merchant Marines. He
married Rebecca Reich, March 25, 1954, at Winnemucca, Nev.
She died May 13, 1980.
Mr. Clabaugh loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and
gardening and was a very good carpenter.
He is survived by two daughters, Frances M. Mitchell
and Cheryl L. Story of Napa; a son, Gary D. Brisbin of
Lovelock, Nev.; a very special friend of many years, Irma
"Pat" Scott of Boise; two sisters, Wanda Tyler of New Plymouth
and Velma Metzker of Caldwell; three brothers, Stanley Clabo
of Royal City, Wash., Orville Clabo of Roseburg, Ore., and Jay
Clabo of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a
brother and two sisters.
His family suggests memorials be made to Mountain
States Tumor Institute, Boise |
