Services for Betty Lou
Boelman, 56, Middleton, formerly of Gridley, Calif., who died
Wednesday, March 20 in a Caldwell hospital of natural causes,
will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
Pastor David C. Quail of the Grace Lutheran Church,
Caldwell, will officiate. Interment will follow in the
Middleton Cemetery.
Mrs. Boelman was horn Oct. 17, 1928, in Minnesota, a
daughter of Victor and Hilma Neighburg Johnson. She was
reared and educated in Minnesota. After her graduation,
she moved to Newfolden, Minn., where she worked as a
dental assistant until 1947.
She married George Benson on May 20, 1947, and they
moved to California. She moved to Gridley in 1967, from
West Covina, Calif. She latger married Herman Boelman.
She had been employed by the federal Head Start Program.
She enjoyed the outdoors, including camping and fishing. She
also enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a member of
the Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law,
James and Kelly Benson of Caldwell, and George and Barbara
Benson of Middleton; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki
and Dennis Lyons of Tracy, Calif.; one brother, Robert
Johnson of Holt, Minn.; her mother, Hilma Johnson of
Holt, Minn.; seven grandchildren, David and Dustin
Benson of Mountain Home, Bret and Tyler Benson of Caldwell,
Kelly and Travis Golden of Tracy, Calif., and Stacy Allen of
Middleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother,
Roy, and one son, David. |
