     Anna Maria Rose Geiger Traxler, 80, died July 28, 2002, at a local care center. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Service, Nampa.
     Anna Maria Rose Geiger was born near Crown Butte, North Dakota, June 11, 1922, the second oldest of seven children. Her parents were John M. and Katherine M. (Froehlich) Geiger. She attended elementary school to ninth grade at Yucca Consolidated School. She later received her GED and attended Bismarck Commercial College. Her jobs in Mandan, North Dakota, consisted of working as a farm hired girl, waitress at Christiansons Ice Cream Parlor, cook at Lewis and Clark restaurant, short order cook at the Beanery. And she worked at the Capital Laundry in Bismarck, North Dakota before moving to Nampa. In Nampa she worked at the State School until her retirement. When she was stricken with Alzheimers, she entered Midland Care Center in Nampa. Anna Maria married Bernard David Traxler at St. Pauls on Oct. 26, 1957. Two children, Casey Daniel and Sharon Marie, were born to this union.
     Anna Maria was an excellent seamstress and cook. She enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music and writing letters. She was a loving, caring person who shared her gifts with others.
     Survivors are Anna's husband, Bernard; daughter, Sharon Marie and son-in-law, Nick Punimata; three grandchildren, Nuuese, Eki, and Samelaulu; sister-in-law, Geneva I. McLean; sister, Bertha Geiger, Dickinson, ND; brother, Thomas M. Geiger, Mandan, ND; and many nieces and nephews.
      Preceding her in death was a son, Casey Daniel; her parents John M. and Katherine Geiger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edgia and Ruth Traxler; brothers, Joseph J. and sister-in-law, Loretta Geiger and Louis Geiger; sisters, Helena and brother-in-law Garcon A. McFerran, and Genevieve and brother-in-law Kasper Jahner.
