Albert Cherry

     Albert B. Cherry, 68, passed away Feb. 26, 1994, at the Veteran's Hospital in Boise.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 2, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Caldwell North Stake Center, located on old Highway 30 off the I-84 exit near Middleton.  The family will greet friends at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and in the Relief Society Room at 10 a.m. Wednesday.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.
     The son of Alloy and Leone T. Cherry, Albert was born in Fairview, Idaho, Dec. 30, 1925.  He lived there until entering the Army Air Corps in May 1994.  He married Lora Jean Harris, Jan. 27, 1945.  He served on Iwo Jima until his release in 1946.
     They moved to the Middleton area in 1954 where he farmed, worked as a mason and electrician.  In 1974 with his son Blaine, he opened Acro Electric.  He was a member of the LDS Church, Middleton 1st Ward, where his most loved role was that of Junior Sunday School Superintendent and working with the children.
     He is survived by his wife, Lora Jean Cherry; two daughters, Patricia Campbell of Caldwell and Kay Johnson of Boise; two sons, Blaine Cherry of Caldwell and James Cherry of Meridian; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
