Dr. Samuel Simpson

     Dr. Samuel Dixon Simpson, 78, of Ola, died Wednesday evening, June 20, 1990, of natural causes.
    In accordance with his wishes there will be no general memorial services.
    Dr. Simpson was Born Dec. 14, 1911, at Houston, Texas.  In 1925, at age a4, he moved with his family to Caldwell, Idaho, where he attended Caldwell High School.  In 1929 he graduated and entered Idaho State at Pocatello.  He married Rosemary Beck June 19, 1933, after his graduation from the college with a degree in pharmacy.
    He attended the University of Texas Medical School at the Galveston branch, and earned his medical degree in 1939.
    Returning to southern Idaho, Dr. Simpson opened his practice at Parma in 1940.  After the outbreak of World War II, he was commissioned an officer in the Army Air Corps.  During 1942 and 1943 he served as a flight surgeon in England.  He was discharged as a major.  In 1945 Dr. Simpson and family moved to Caldwell where he practiced medicine until 1973.  He retired from his active practice in 1973, and worked for the Health and Welfare Department of the state of Idaho un 1987.
    Rosemary Beck Simpson died in 1983, as did his sister, Elizabeth Jamerson.  Dad married Elsie Mileger on Sept. 14, 1987, and moved to Ola.
    Until his death, Dr. Simpson enjoyed reading everything he could het his hands on.  He had natural talents in music, poetry, and sports.
    A lifelong lover of animals the family requests that memorial be made to Pet Haven, Box 481, Nampa.
