Samuel Shippy

     Graveside services for Samuel Abraham Shippy, 66, of Caldwell, who died Tuesday, Aug. 18, at home of natural causes, were held today at 3 p.m. at the Knowlton Heights Cemetery, Caldwell.
    The Followers of Christ Church officiated, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr. Shippy was born Dec. 14, 1920, at Aline, Okla., to William and Artie Elliott Shippy.  
    He married Marjorie Ging of Aline in 1940.  She died in July 1952.  
    He married Enid Decker of Enid, Okla., June 12, 1953.  They moved in April 1954 to Weiser and in June 1966 to Caldwell, where they had since resided.
    He was a member of the Followers of Christ Church, Caldwell.
    He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; seven sons, Terry, Samuel, Robert, Floyd, and Jay Shippy, all of New Plymouth, and Don and Joe Shippy of Caldwell; two daughters, Mary Milburn and Enid Austin, both of Caldwell; four sisters, Naomi Micka and Eula Davis, both of Caldwell, Juanita Johnson of Baker, Ore., and Leah Mayo of Anthony, Kan.; two brothers, Frank Shippy of Buffton, Alberta, Canada, and Bill Shippy of Caldwell; 79 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, two sisters, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
