Services
for Orlando Shortreed, 84, Homedale, who died in a Homedale
nursing home yesterday, will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at
Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel. The
Rev. Irwin Algers of Homedale will officiate.
Interment will be in
Wilder.
Mr.
Shortreed was born Aug. 5, 1877, in
Postville, Iowa,
and moved to South
Dakota
to farm when he was a young man.
He married Stella
Seese Feb. 25, 1903 and the couple moved to Homedale in 1948.
In addition to Mrs.
Shortreed, he is survived by two sons, Lyle of Geddens, S.D.,
and Lester of Redmond, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Velma
Udlinek and Mrs. Elva Scherer, both of Homedale, and Mrs. Ada
Korn of Caldwell, 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. |
