Services for Marvin S. Sherman. 75, of Hemet, Calif., formerly
of Wilder, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, at a Hemet hospital of
natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the
Golden Gate Baptist Church, Wilder. The Rev. Everett
Berrey, interim pastor of the church, and the Rey. James
Sherman. Marvin's brother, will officiate. Burial will
follow in the Wilder Cemetery under direction of the Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Mr. Sherman,
a farmer, was born Aug. 6, 1910, at Pauline, Neb., to Frank
and Grace Sherman. He was reared and educated in
Nebraska. He married Shirley Belle
Mohler in August of 1933, at Hot Springs, S.D. In 1938,
they moved to Utah where he worked for the Union Pacific
Railroad. They moved to the Wilder area in 1952, and
farmed there for many years. In 1980, they moved to
California where they had since resided.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Hemet; a son, Milner
S. Sherman of Sunnymeade, Calif; three daughters, Donna Lee
Hume and Loleeta R. Gwin, both of Boise, and Denice J. Sherman
of Hemet; two sisters; two brothers; 13 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren He was preceded in
death by an infant son, Frank. |
