Jess
Gabica, 86, of Nampa, died Monday, December 14, 1992, at the Nampa hospital. Vigil
Services will he held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1992, at
Persons-Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Funeral Mass
will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at
St. Paul's Catholic Church,
Nampa, by the Rev. Father Alfred Pucinelli, S.M.
Burial will follow at
Mount Calvary
Cemetery, Nampa.
Jess
was born August 19, 1906, at Boise, Idaho, the son of
Miguel and Anna Jayo Gabica, and grew up, attended school, in
Boise, graduating horn
Boise
High School. He became
interested in raising foxes for fox fur production He married
Irene F. Rupert on Dec. 29, 1938, in
Nampa
where they made their home, He raised foxes for 27 years.
Thereafter he worked for the
Nampa School District until retiring in 1971.
Irene and Jess liked to travel and in 1974 they made a trip to Spain. They also
liked to camp and fish.
He was member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
He is survived by
his wife, Irene of Nampa; a nephew, Julian Gabica of
Nampa, a niece, Tamara Ann McErquiaga of
Fallon, Nev.; and several cousins.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister.
