Ralph Shelley

     Services for John Ralph Shelley, 65, of 567 6th Road N., Nampa, who died Tuesday, June 7, at a local hospital, will be conducted Saturday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, at 10 a.m.
    Bishop Ted Hess, Nampa First Ward LDS Church, will officiate.  Interment will be at Melba.
    He was born Aug. 19, 1917, at Mt. Pleasant, Utah, the son of John Mason and Agnes Brown Shelley.  The family moved to Richfield, Idaho, where he received his education.  The family later moved to Melba, where he farmed for a number of years.  He married Edna Margaret Roberts July 3, 1940.
    He retired after many years, from the Boise Project Board of Control in 1981.  In recent years he had resided in Nampa.  He was a member of Nampa First Ward LDS Church.
    He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Verle (Linda) Beam, Nampa, Mrs. Carol Talley, Pasco, Wash., and Mrs. Delores Messuri of Coeur d'Alene; one son, Dennis Ralph Shelley of Nampa; one brother, Richard B. Shelley, Nampa; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Annie) Baird, Melba, Mrs. Jack (Marian) DeWald, Emmett, and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Hughes, Nampa; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Memorials may be made to Mercy Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit.
