Forest Shumaker

   CALDWELL— Graveside services for Forest L. Shumaker, 64, of 1502 Linden, Caldwell, who died Friday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Evelyn Scott, will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
    Officiating will be the Rev. David Smith of the First Methodist Church. The cortege will leave the Dakan Funeral Chapel at 2:15 p.m.
    He was born Aug. 16, 1906 in Mason City, Iowa.  He came to Idaho in 1924 and served four years in the Eighth Mounted Calvary in El Paso, Texas, and in the U.S. Army in World War II as a medical technician in the Asiatic Theater.
    He worked several years at the Union Stockyards in Caldwell and most recently at Cattleman's Auction at Karcher Junction until he retired due to ill health.
    He married Aldora Ferrenberg in Nampa in 1942.
    Surviving are one son, Charles Shumaker of Moses Lake, Wash., five daughters, Mrs. Betty Lonas, Shirley Shumaker, Diane Shumaker, and Patricia Shumaker, all of Moses Lake, and Mrs. Marcia Pirnie of Nampa; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn E. Scott of Caldwell; two nephews and a niece.
