DIES TODAY
 
Gunshot Wound Sun.
Proves Fatal To
13-Year-Old

     Clifford Eells, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Eells of Knowlton Heights, died at 12:30 this morning from the effects of a gunshot wound received Sunday, Sherriff Harold Meyer said today.
    The .22 caliber bullet passed through Eells’ body to the left of the heart when the gun, held by Earl Gibson, 14, with whom he was playing, was accidentally discharged, Meyer said.
    The youth died at the home of Lee Gibson, father of the boy who did the shooting, where he has been since the time of the accident.
    Sheriff Harold Meyer said today that he did not know whether an inquest would be held.
    Services for the youth were tentatively set for 2 o’clock Thursday at the Friends’ church in Riverside.  George White of Hailey will have charge of the services.  Burial will be in the Knowlton Heights cemetery.
    The youth is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Eells; his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gannett of Gannett; six brothers, Glenford, Irwin, Howard, Willard and Ralph of Knowlton Heights and Louis of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Wallace of Rush Creek and Alta Eells of Knowlton Heights.
