Carey Shaddy

     Carey Lynn Shaddy, 22, of Caldwell, passed away earlier this week near Middleton. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Middleton Cemetery. Don Hard-enbrook, associate pastor of the Oregon Trail Church of God will officiate. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Cha-pel, Caldwell. Carey was born January 9, 1970, to Carey E. and Carolyn S. Laeger Shaddy at Nampa, Idaho. He was raised in the Caldwell area and graduated from Middleton High School in 1988.
    Surviving are his parents, Carey Shaddy of Caldwell and Carolyn Shaddy of Caldwell; two brothers, Dion A. and Kip E. Shaddy of Caldwell; his son and "light of his life," Nicholas of Caldwell; maternal grandparents, Merle and Doris Laeger of Middleton; maternal great-grandmother, Margaret Laeger of Middleton; paternal grandparents, Gene and Irma Shaddy of Caldwell; and numerous aunts, uncles and cous-ins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roy Laeger. "Doorlight, you were here for a short while, but in that time you touched the hearts of many people. You brought love into my life and everyone you touched. You lert us a little ray of sunshine. We love and miss you." — Love, Mom. Memorials may be made to the Nicholas A. Shaddy Trust Fund in care of the Oregon Trail Church of God, 23057 Old Highway 30, Caldwell, Idaho 83605.
