Carroll Shodeen

     Services for Carroll A. Shodeen, 52, of Parma, who died Thursday, April2, at home of natural causes, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lienkaemper Chapel, Nyssa.
    The Rev. Wayne Haas of the Faith Lutheran church, Nyssa, will officiate.  Vault interment will follow at Parma Cemeteryh.
    Mr. Shodeen was born Aug. 11, 1934, to Axel J. and Nan F. Neslon in Lyons, Neb., where he was reared and educated, graduating from Lyons High School in 1951.    He married Delores Osberg Sept. 11, 1954, in Lyons.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1957.
    He worked for 15 years in Sacramento,k Caolf, for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District before moving to Parma in January 1972.  He purchased Anderson Corner, a combination grocery store/gas station, which he had operated until the time of his death.
    His hobbies were fishing with his family.
    He is survived by his wife of Parma; two sons, Ron Shodeen of Parma and Jim Shodeen of Boise; a brother, Kenneth Shodeen of Colorado Springs, Colo; two grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.
    Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nyssa Lienkaemper chapel.
    Memorials may he made to Mountain States Tumor Institute, in care of the Lienkaemper chapel.
