HOMEPAGE

Santos Sandoval

Santos Ortiz Sandoval, 67, of Nampa, died Saturday, March 5, 1994, at a Boise hospital.  Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. today, March 7, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Father Henry Carmona. The Rev. Robert L. Miller of Nampa First Church of the Nazarene will assist in the services at St. Paul's.  Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
Mrs. Sandoval was born Aug. 24, 1926, at Kennedy, Texas, a daughter of Matilde and Sara Morin Ortiz.  She grew up and attended school in Texas.  She married Heriberto Sandoval March 12, 1952, in Texas, and a few years later moved to Nampa.
Nothing pleased our mother more than having all her children get together at her house to enjoy her delightful cooking on Sundays.  She was totally disappointed if someone did not show up or did not eat.  Her favorite pastime, up to her last days, was to call all her sons and daughters daily to see how they were doing and to check on her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly.  Making sure our father was happy and well cared for was one of her primary loves.
Survivors include her husband, Heriberto Sandoval Sr., two sons and one daughter-in-law, Noe and Janet Rodriguez, Heriberto Sandoval Jr., all of Nampa; eight daughters and five sons-in-law, Pedro and Elizabeth Rodriguez of Tempe, Ariz., Alicia Morales of Dallas, Texas, Manuel and Yolanda Cedillo,  Guadalupe and Ida Reyna, Conrad and Ersilia De La Paz, Andres and Delia Trejo, Mary Helen Sandoval and Norma Jean Michaelis-Cortez, all of Nampa; one brother, Domingo Ortiz of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Paula Ortega of San Antonio and Delia Balderama of Richmond, Texas; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Ortiz.
Memorials may be made to the Dialysis Unit of Mercy Medical Center, 1512 12th Avenue Road, Nampa, 83666, or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and on Tuesday from 9 am. until 1 p.m. at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
