Phyllis Scott

     Phyllis Ethel Scott, 73, of Caldwell, died Friday, April 19, 1996, at her home of natural causes.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Revs. Pete and Ruby Petersen of Caldwell will officiate, with burial following at the Roswell Cemetery.
    Mrs. Scott was born January 12, 1923, in Drury, Missouri, to Tom and Sadie Coonts.  She was reared and educated in Drury where she worked on her father's farm as a young girl.  She married Leo H. Scott on August 22, 1941, in Ava, Missouri, where she was a devoted wife and mother.  In 1948 they moved to Wilder, Idaho, where they made their home.  She began working for the J.R. Simplot Company in February, 1966, where she worked until her retirement in September, 1981.
    Phyllis especially enjoyed embroidery, sewing, and quilting.  She loved all the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
    She is survived by 2 daughters, LauVown (Mrs. Gary) Spath of Caldwell, and Linda (Mrs. Kenneth) Henley of Boise; her son, Lonnie Scott of Caldwell; 2 brothers, Ted Coonts of Twin Falls, and Donald Ray Coonts of Davenport, Iowa; 2 sisters, Ada Wagner of Parma, and Margaret Hoog of Pryor, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Danny and Terri Spath, Nivy and David Snow, Colby Scott, Richard Henley, Teresa Scott and Randall Henley; 2 great-grandchildren, Dusty and Luke Spath; 2 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Scott, her parents, 2 sisters, and a brother.
    Friends may call at the Dakan Chapel on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
