Maria Sanchez

    Rosary for Maria R. Sanchez, 88, of 155 1st St. N. Ext., Nampa, who died Tuesday; Aug. 30, at her home, will be recited at 8 tonight at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
    She was born Nov. 12, 1894, at Penjamo, Guanajuato, Mexico, a daughter of Juan and Juanita Hernandez Robles.  She moved to the United States in 1916.  She married Luz Luciano Sanchez in 1921 at Kimberley, Idaho.  They came to Nampa in 1938.  She owned and operated a boarding house at 120 9th Ave. No. from 1940 to 1965.
    Mr. Sanchez died Oct. 10, 10971, in Nampa.
    She was a member of  St. Paul's Catholic Church.
    She is survived by three sons, T.L. Herrera, Winnemucca, Nev., Jim S. Sanchez and Robert E. Sanchez, both of Nampa; three daughters, Pertra Herrera, Elko, Nev., Virginia Garza and Anna M. Plasencia, both of Nampa; a sister, Francisca H. Ramirez, Caldwell; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Three sons and three daughters preceded her in death.
