Michael Scales

    Services for Michael John Kahope Scales, 30, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, April 30, at home of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Caldwell North Stake Center on Highway 30.
    Bishop Ron Short of the Middleton First Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
    Mr. Scales was born April 22, 1956, at San Francisco, Calif., to William K. and Christina K. Ahuna Scales Jr.  He moved with his family in 1970 to the Treasure Valley, where he lived, with his family, until his death.
    He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a special Mutual Group for the handicapped.
    He is survived by his parents of Caldwell; a sister, Cindy Scales of Boise; and a brother, Kenneth Scales of Delta Junction, Alaska.
    He was preceded in death by an uncle and an aunt.
    Friends may call in the Relief Society Room of the First Ward LDS Church Friday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
