MIDDLETON — Services for Luella M. Corn, 74, of Middleton, who
died
Wednesday in
a Caldwell hospital, will he
conducted at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, at 2 p.m Saturday by
the Rev. Wendell Brandom of the
First
Baptist
Church.
Interment will be at Middleton Cemetery.
She was born on
April 10, 1900, in Norton, Kan., and came to
Idaho when she
was 19. She married Doran Mark Corn on Dec. 4, 1920, in
Sacramento,
Calif., and the couple lived in Sacramento until coming to
Middleton in 1925. They moved into her present home in 1937
and she since had lived there. Mr. Corn died on Oct. 4, 1966.
She had been a
correspondent for this newspaper until May of 1973. She was a
member of the First Baptist
Church, American
Association of Retired Persons, Idaho Historical Society,
Senior Citizens and O.N.O. She was a life member of the Parent
Teachers Association and a former member of Middleton Grange.
Surviving are five
sons, Dean and Roger Corn, both of Walla Walla Wash., Dale,
Enumclaw, Wash., Robert, Longmont, Colo., and Jerry Corn,
Middleton, two daughters, Sandra Sloviaczek, Middleton, and
Juanita Capson, Garden Grove.
Calif.; and 17 grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by a stepson, Jerry Hirianek; five brothers, a sister
and two grandchildren. Friends may call at
the chapel this evening and until services Saturday. |
