Kenneth Scales

    Kenneth Clifford Scales, 38, of Nampa, entered into rest Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at a Boise hospital of natural causes.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 7, 1997 at the North Caldwell Stake Center on Old High Way 30.  Bishop Andrew D. Elison of the Caldwell 2nd Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Letter-day Saints will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Kenneth was born April 10, 1958 in Burlingame, California the son of Elder William and Sister Christina Scales of Caldwell and currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the South Carolina, Columbia Mission.  Kenneth graduated from Middleton High School and later served in the U.S. Army in Alaska.  He married Connie King March 20, 1992 in Anchorage.  They came to Caldwell in April of 1992 where he worked for Idaho Linen Supply for a time.  He moved to Nampa in 1993 and at the time of his death was employed by Naylor Chevron in Boise.
    Kenneth was a loving husband, father, son and brother and a good friend to many.
    Surviving are his wife, Connie King Scales of Nampa; two daughters, Michelle of Nampa and Heather of Anchorage, Alaska; a step-son, Greg Dubyak of Nampa; his parents, Willie and Chris Scales of Caldwell; a sister, Cindy Scales of Boise; his mother and father-in-law, Jack and Faye Daniels of Emmett and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his dog, Buddy.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael and his grandparents.
    Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening and at the Relief Society Room at the Stake Center from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday.
    Kenneth's family requests that no flowers be sent.  Contributions may be made to a fund for his children in care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 06.1386, Caldwell, Idaho 83606.
