HOMEPAGE

Payette, Aug. 25. - Word reached the Masonic lodges here late last night from Baker City that G. W. Paul had died at 5 p. m.  Mr. Paul was a member of Washoe Lodge No. 28 of this place and was taken to Baker a week ago by Dr. G. A. Pogue of Ontario, it being necessary to perform an operation for a rupture which had become dangerous, Mr. Paul having neglected it for 10 days.  Mr. Paul was a prominent Mason, a pioneer and ex-county commissioner of Canyon county.  A number of Masons from here and Ontario will attend the funeral, which will take place tomorrow at Parma.
