Frank Needs, Jr.

     NAMPA — Requiem Mass for Frank William Needs, Jr., 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Needs, of Nampa Route 4, who died Saturday evening from injuries sustained in an auto accident on Lake Lowell Avenue near Lake Lowell, will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Pauls Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Rubel Archuleta, S.M., of St Pauls as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rosary Devotions will be recited Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    He was born December 12, 1956, at Nampa. He had attended Nampa schools, and while attending Central Junior High, was awarded a lifetime pass at one of five outstanding students of the school. He has been very active in sports throughout his education, and was presently a senior at Nampa High School. He had been active in football and in his junior year, was a Prep High School All American Football selection, and was also selected on the first team, All S.I.C. defensive back. He was also active in basketball, track, and wrestling. He was also an officer of the Blue N Club at Nampa High, and was also a member of the National Honor. Society. He was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church.
    He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Needs, of Nampa; four brothers, Jack Needs, serving with the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. America. Rory Needs, of Nampa, Steven Needs, sophomore student at Treasure Valley Community College, at Ontario, Ore., and Jeff Needs, of Nampa; one sister, Theresa Needs, of Nampa; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Fred Needs and Mrs. W.S. Walker, both of Marsing.
    The family suggests contributions to Dollars for Scholars in lieu of flowers.
