Doris Lyndell Miller
Saner, 52, of Parma, died Monday, Feb. 21, 1994, at her home
in the care of her husband and daughters, with Support of
Hospice and Home Health Services of Mercy Medi cal Center.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 am. Saturday,
Feb. 26, at Roswell Baptist Church under the direc-tion of
Dakan Funeral Chapel. Pastor Virgil Saltz will
officiate. A luncheon will follow in the church dining
room. Doris was born August 11, 1941,
the 2nd daughter of James A. and Lois Shaner Miller in
Caldwell, Idaho, and was raised in Parma. When she went
to visit an aunt and uncle in Nebraska, she fell in love with
and married James D. Saner, July 1, 1959. In Dunning,
Neb., they raised their 5 children, mostly in North Platte,
Neb., until making their home in Parma, Idaho, in 1976.
Doris worked at Caldwell Care Center and for Bob Ellis,
cleaning smoke-damaged homes for a few years. For a
while she taught kindergarten and first-graders learning to
read through the Alpha Omega Program, at Canyon County Baptist
Church and taught Sunday school for many years, both in
Nebraska and Idaho. The job she so
enjoyed for past 6 years until she was unable to continue was
to be in a pilot car for mobile homes and oversize loads on
the highways across Oregon, Nevada and Idaho.
Survivors are her husband, Jim Saner of Parma; Amy and Charlie
Hinrichs of Kuna, and children Tammy, Matthew and Naomi; Mona
and Wayne Leigh of Parma, and children Autumn, Myke and wife,
Barbara, and Steve Conley; Deana and Cleve Harlow of Notus,
and children, Amber, Jared, Dody and Tori; Marla and Marcelino
Aguayo of Parma, and children Joseph and Lyndell; and one son,
Jay and Angela Saner of Hillsboro, Ore.; her parents, Jim and
Lois Miller; one sister, Margaret and Neil Friesen; two
brothers, Ray and Eva Miller, Joy and Betty Miller; and other
relatives and friends. The viewing will
be at Dakan's Parma Chapel on Friday, Feb. 25, from 6 to 8
p.m. |
