Wilder Man Buried
Monday Afternoon

     WILDER (Special) - Funeral services for Ralph J. Walker were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. David Oastler, pastor of the Roswell Presbyterian church, officiating.  He was assisted by the Rev. Merle M. Burres of the local church.
    A quartet composed of L. L. Hudson, Edwin B. Karn, F. L.  Sower and C. R. Peckham sang.  Pallbearers were Carl and Forrest Hamilton, R. E. Putman, Hardin Harris, William Green and Lawrence Jensen.  Burial was in the local cemetery, where the Wilder Odd Fellows conducted a ritualistic service.  Mr. Walker was a member and past grand of the I. O. O. F. No. 137 of Wilder.
    The only child of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Walker of this  community, Mr. Walker was born April 18, 1908 in Phillips, S. D.  He came with his parents when eight months old to Lost River, Idaho, and when he was seven, they moved to Greenleaf.  Since that time he has made his home in Roswell and Wilder.  He was graduated from the Wilder high school in 1927, and on November 13, 1928 he was married to Miss Gladys Sidener.
    Since 1929 he was employed in the reclamation service in Wilder and served as bookkeeper in the office of the watermaster the past two years.
    Surviving are Mrs. Walker, a 15-months old daughter LaVerne and his parents.
