Graveside services for Robert "Bob" E.
Reed, 55, Wilder, who died of natural causes at home
Thursday, Sept. 12, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at
the Wilder Cemetery by the American Legion Post 32 of
Homedale. Services are under the direction of Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Homedale. Mr. Reed was
born April 3, 1930, at Fallon, Nev. He was reared and
educated there. He worked for the Northern Nevada
Railroad for a year as a fireman. He joined the U.S.
Air Force in November 1948. He
married Carol Bliss July 14, 1950, at Fallon. He was
honorably discharged from the military in December 1951.
They returned to Fallon where he worked for the Bureau of
Reclamation. Later they moved to Ruth, Nev., where he
worked in the copper mines. They moved to Los Angeles,
Calif., where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for
11 years. In August 1964 they moved
to Wilder where they have since resided. He worked as
a mechanic for various employers. For the past eight
years he has worked as a ditch rider for the Boise Project
Board of Control. He liked fishing and hunting.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 32, Homedale.
He is survived by his wife of Wilder; three sons, E. Thomas
Reed of Homedale, Craig M. Reed of Okinawa and James C. Reed
of Bremerton, Wash.; one daughter, Verline M. Gullick of
Spanaway, Wash.; a brother, Donald Reed of Los Angeles,
Calif.; two sisters, Betty Huff of Weedville, Pa., and
Rosalie Cunningham of Payton, Colo.; six grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. Memorials
may be made to the Idaho Heart Association, 3295 Elder St.,
Boise, Idaho. Friends may call at
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale, Sunday from 1 p.m. until 6
p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until noon.
