Services for Lucy Nedrow Rogers. 94,
Eagle. formerly of Roswell, who died Monday, Sept. 5, at a
Nyssa nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at
10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma, by Loyd
(cq) Lowe and Robert Obenchain, pastors of the Roswell Baptist
Church. Interment will follow at the
Roswell Cemetery. She was born Jan. 25,
1889, at Abilene. Kan., to Simington and Sarah Nedrow.
She came to Idaho with her parents at the age of three.
They traveled through Idaho by mule team and covered wagons
and homesteaded three miles west of Ashton on the Snake River.
She was the last member of a family of 11 children.
She married David A. Rogers at Vernon, Idaho, on June 29,
1910. They moved to the Boise Valley in 1926 and to
Roswell in 1938. Mr. Rogers died Dec. 6, 1960. She
was a member of the Roswell Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Howard C. Rogers of Tacoma,
Wash., and Ralph K. Rogers of Nampa; three daughters, Pauline
Boston of Apple Valley, Thelma Wallis of Napa. Calif., and
Ruby Robinette of Boise; 15 grand-children, 25
great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Roswell Baptist Church.
Friends may call at the chapel in Caldwell until 9 tonight. |
