Karl Remick

Rev. Karl E. Remick, 84, of Homedale, passed away Friday, February 7, 1992, at a Homedale nursing home following an extended illness.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, 1992, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Officiating will be Pastor David Porterfield of the Notus Church of the Nazarene and Pastor Daniel St. Clair of the Crossroads Assembly of God Church, Wilder.  Private interment will be at the Greenleaf Cemetery.
    Rev. Remick was born February 2, 1908, in Napoleon, North Dakota to Jacob and Magdeline Remick.  In 1938 he moved to the Northwest.  In 1947 he graduated from Cascade Bible College and was ordained in the Nazarene Church.  He pastored several churches in Oregon, Nebraska, Wyoming and Idaho.  He spent his later years playing accordian, singing and delivering the Lord's message to rest homes, nursing homes, county fairs, the Christian Businessmen's Breakfasts and various churches m the Caldwell area.
    Rev. Remick was known as one to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.
    He spent over 2000 hours supporting the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
    He is survived by his wife, Lola of Gracehaven Shelter Home, Wilder; a son, Stanley of Edmonds, Washington and a sister, Elsie Bertsch of Minot, North Dakota.
