Rosary for Jason D. Ramirez, 16, of Burns, Ore., and formerly of Nampa, who died Sunday, Oct. 18, at home, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by Father Edward McMonagle, S.M.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mr. Ramirez was born Oct. 9, 1971, at Caldwell.  He was reared and attended elementary school and West Junior High in Nampa.  Earlier this year he moved to Burns, where he was currently a sophmore at the Burns Union High School.
    He was on the football and wrestling teams.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
    He is survived by his father, Gonzalo "Gonzie" Ramirez of Nampa; his mother and stepfather, Charlotte (Mrs. Paul) Shipley of Burns; a sister, Alma L. Chavez of Burns; paternal grandfather, Cipriano Ramirez of Nampa; maternal grandparents, Dan and Lucy Romero of Nampa; two nephews; a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
    Friends may call at the Nam-pa Alsip chapel Thursday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
