Georgia Rivett

     Georgia Rivett, 90, of Nampa, died Monday, Nov. 26, 1990, at a Nampa care center. Rosary devotions will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.  The Rev. Father James L. Pratt, S.M., will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mrs. Rivett was born April 1, 1900, at Portland, Ore., a daughter of Sherd and Alta L. Brouse Stoddard.  She was raised and attended schools in the Portland area and later moved with her family to Nampa.  She married Addalore "Red' Rivett Jan. 19, 1917, and they made their home and farmed near Nampa for many years.  Mr. Rivett died July 9, 1981.
    She began working in ceramics at age 55 and is widely known for her ceramic figurines.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, and was one of the early presidents of the Altar Society.
    Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth G. and Mary Rivett of Nampa and Bruce L. and Arlene Rivett of Grass Valley, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Keith Harder and Jeanne and Donald White, all of Nampa; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
    Friends may call until 9 p.m. today, Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
