Rosary devotion for Anestacio B.
"Ernie" Ramirez, 64, of 124-20th Ave. So., Nampa, who died
Thursday, June 30, at his home, will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 5, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, July 6, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Rev.
Merle J. Fisher, S.M., celebrating. Interment with
military graveside rites will follow at the Mt. Calvary
Cemetery. He was born May 2, 1919, to
Ignacio and Angelita Ramirez at Karnes City, Texas, where he
was reared and educated. In 1939, he moved to eastern
Idaho, where he farmed. He entered the U.S. Army Nov. 3,
1943 and served in the Pacific during World War II. He
was honorably discharged on Jan. 24, 1946. He married
Edwardina "Eddie" Lucero Sept. 16, 1946, in Ontario, Ore.
They moved to Boise in 1949 and he attended the Idaho
Barber College and Business School. After graduating in
1950, he moved to Nampa and worked for Slim Daniels at Slim's
barbershop for five years. He then opened his own shop,
which he operated in Nampa for 28 years. He was a member
of St. Paul's Catholic Church, of the Nampa B.P.O.E. 1389, of
the Loyal Order of Moose, Nampa Lodge 1430, and of the
American Legion, Nampa Post 18. He is
survived by his wife of Nampa; three sons, Ronald A. of
Cheyenne, Wyo., Robert D. and Ignacio "Ted," both of
Bremerton, Wash.; one foster son, Gallegos of Boise; his
mother, Angelita Gonzales of Nampa; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Mercy Medical
Center Hospice Program, 1512-12th Ave. Rd., Nampa, Ida. 83651,
or flowers may be sent. Friends may call at the
chapel Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to
7 p.m. |
