Stanford Peterson

     Memorial services for Stanford H. Peterson, 48, of Fruitland, who died of natural causes at home Thursday, Feb. 27, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Parma Cemetery with the Rev. Paul F. Evans of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Parma, officiating.  Cremation was at an earlier date under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mr., Peterson was born June 23, 1937, at Boise, the son of Elmo A. and Lucile Kessler Peterson.  He was reared and educated at Parma, and had attended the College of Idaho for a short time.  He joined the U.S. Navy in 1955.  Following his discharge from the military, he worked as an airline ticket agent throughout the West for a number of years.
    In 1969 he returned to Idaho near Parma and began working for American Fine Foods at Nyssa.  He later transferred to their plant at New Plymouth.  He retired there on Feb. 21.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
    He is survived by two sons, Michael Peterson of Stanfield, Ore. and Christopher Peterson of Texas: one daughter, Melissa Peterson of Parma; his mother, Mrs. Lucile Peterson of Parma; a sister, Anne Rigney of Featherville; and three nieces.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and his father, Elmo Peterson.
