Reta Pierce

     Memorial services for Reta E. Pierce, 80, of Boise and formerly of Parma, who died Wednesday, Dec. 2, at a Boise nursing home, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kirkpatrick Memorial Community Church, Parma.
    Larry Ragains of Parma will officiate under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Private burial will be at Roswell Cemetery, Roswell.
    Mrs. Pierce was born April 1, 1907, at Burns, Kan., to Sherman and Inise Sayre.  As a small child she moved with her family to the Roswell-Parma area.
    She married Marshall Pierce, Oct. 14, 1924.  They lived in the Parma area until moving to Boise in 1985 in order for her to be nearer to medical treatment.
    Mrs. Pierce was a member of Iras Temple No. 40; Daughters of the Nile; and the Mt. Olive Chapter No. 52 Order of the Eastern Star in Parma.
    Mrs. Pierce is survived by her husband of Boise; two daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Louis Poletti of Boise and Betty and Don Johnston of Parma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Linda Pierce of San Diego, Calif., and Duane and Betty Pierce of Abilene, Texas; a twin sister, Leta Forsdick of Payette, and sisters Lucille Allen of Parma and Blanche Davison of Notus; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
    Memorials may be made to the St. Alphonsus kidney dialysis unit in care of St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, 1055 N. Curtis Road, Boise 83704.
