Prominent Parma
Man Dies From
Pneumonia

     PARMA  (Special) - M. C. Rose, secretary-treasurer of the Parma Water Lifter company and a prominent citizen of this community, died at his home here following a brief illness from pneumonia.  Mr. Rose was active in community affairs for a number of years.  He was a trustee of the Parma Community church, an officer in the local Masonic lodge and a member of the Lions club.
    Surviving Mr. Rose are his widow, one daughter, Jean; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Maxim and Mrs. Tom Drost, both of Parma, and three brothers, H. L. Rose and Bert Rose of Parma, and Fred Rose of Portland.
    The funeral will be held at 2:30 Thursday at the Parma community church with the Rev. W. O. Benthin officiating.  The Masonic and Odd Fellows lodges will take part in the service and the American Legion, the Lions club and the Parma Chamber of Commerce will also participate.  Burial will be in the Parma cemetery.
    Mr. Rose was born at Fort Ripley, Minn., December 12, 1897.
