Mrs. McCormick Is
Victim of Long
Illness

     Death struck again at the thinning ranks of Boise valley pioneers in the person of Mr. A. J. McCormick, who died last night at her Roswell home following a lengthy illness.  Mrs. McCormick, who was 79 was had lived in the valley continuously since 1903 and all her life took an active part in social and community enterprises.
    She spent the greater part of her Idaho residence at Roswell where she was a charter member of the Roswell Chautauqua society and played an active role in church and public affairs.  A number of years ago Mrs. McCormick lived at Caldwell.  Her residence here covered a number of years.  She lived in the residence at 1620 Blaine now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Becker.  Mr. McCormick was county assessor from 1927-1929.
                Funeral Tuesday
   
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Roswell Presbyterian church with Dr. H. H. Hayman of the College of Idaho and the Rev. David Oastler officiating.  Burial will be in the Roswell cemetery.  The body is now at the Case funeral chapel in Caldwell.
    Mrs. McCormick is survived by her husband; three sons, John D. McCormick of Springfield, Ore., Robert R. McCormick of Plainsfield, N. J., vice president of the college of Idaho, and Harold R. McCormick of Roswell; two daughters, Mrs. Florence M. Dewhirst of Portland and Mrs. Louise M. Pollard of Boise and 10 grandchildren.
    She was born at Bennington, Vt., in 1858 and was married to Mr. McCormick in April, 1883.
