Pioneer Middleton
Woman Succumbs
To Illness

     MIDDLETON (Special) - Mrs. Marie Crockett, pioneer Middleton resident, died at the family residence here Wednesday afternoon following a long illness.  The body is at the Peckham establishment pending funeral arrangements.
    Mrs. Crockett was born November 4, 1851, the youngest of a family of sixteen children.  She was married to Seth Crockett in Nebraska in 1867.  She came to Idaho with her family March 8, 1892 and settled at Caldwell.  A short time later the family moved to Middleton and since that time Mrs. Crockett made her residence here.
    Mrs. Crockett was the mother of 10 children, eight of whom survive.  They are; Mrs. Eunice McIntyre and Mrs. Grace Bixby of Middleton, Elmer, Frank, Charles, Walter and Arthur of Middleton and Chester of Long Beach, Cal.  Thirty-six grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren also survive.
