Cecil Pfost

     Services for Cecil A. Pfost, 77, of Middleton, who died Wednesday, March 18, at home of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    The Rev. Jay Rowley of the First Baptist Church, Middleton, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery, under the direction of the Caldwell Flahiff chapel.
    Mr. Pfost was born Aug. 6, 1909, at Boise and was reared and educated in the Nampa area. 
   He married Addie W. Whitney Nov. 12, 1930, at Emmett.  He farmed, was a service station operator, a mechanic and a ditch rider in the Caldwell/Middleton area.  He retired in 1980.
    He served in World War II from 1944 to 1946.
    His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, tinkering and building small inventions.
    He is survived by his wife of Middleton; a daughter, Lanetta C. Pfost of Middleton; a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Irma Pfost of Middleton; nine granddaughters; five grandsons; nine great-granddaughters; and five great-grandsons.
    Memorials may be made to the Middleton Rescue Unit for needed equipment.
    Friends may call today until 8 p.m. at the Caldwell Flahiff chapel.
