Beulah was born December 30, 1908, in Burns, Kansas, the third of eleven children of George Leroy and Lucetta Bell Riggs.  She moved with her parents to Nebraska in 1913, and settled in the Parma-Roswell area in 1919.  She married Dale E. Peterson on September 11, 1927, in Parma and has continued to make her home in Parma since that time.  Dale passed away June 1, 1970.
She was an employee of the J. C. Watson Company in Parma for many years, retiring in 1971.  An accomplished seamstress throughout her life, she made many quilts, afghans and beautiful crochet items for her children and grandchildren.  Beulah always enjoyed working in the flowers of her yard, making it a showplace for all to admire.
Always a wonderful mother and mother-in-law to Gene and Janice Peterson of Parma, Phillip and Donna Peterson of Payette, and Ron and Eileen Daniels of Boardman, Oregon.  A special grandmother to Rod and Patti Peterson of Emmett; Joel and Shiela Peterson of Honolulu; Mike and Toni Brown of Twin Falls; Sam and Nancy Patterson of Payette; Randy and Lois Peterson of Payette; Pam Daniels, Tom and Vicki Scott, Scott and Margaret Daniels, all of Salem, Oregon.  Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren and I great-great grandson.
Beulah enjoyed spending time shopping and visiting with her five surviving sisters; Blanche Pierce of Milton-Freewater, Opal Vincent and Virginia Bow of Caldwell, Ruth Johnson of Meridian, and Mildred Krajnik of Nampa.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, one sister, and four brothers.
Friends and family may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell on today from 6 to 8 p.m., and are asked to meet at the Parma Cemetery prior to the Friday service.
Flowers may be sent or memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
