Addie Wyina Whitney Pfost, who lived all of her 90 years in Idaho went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 31, 1994, at a Nampa hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 1994, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, with Pastor Wayne Schuler of the Middleton First Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.
Addie was born August 22, 1903, at the family's Marble Front Ranch. Her proud parents were H.M. and Dollie Whitney.  She joined a brother, Orville and a sister, Nellie.  Next came her brother, Walter who became her frog-hunting buddy.  After her brother George was born and when Addie was fifteen, her sister, Florence was added to the family.  Addie enjoyed entertaining her little sister and taking her places.
She had fond memories of her school years at Marble Front.  Her favorite noontime game was keeping the ball away from the boys with Ruth Fuller.  She lovingly remembered her teacher, Miss Bales.
She attended Middleton High for 2 years.  Then she and her best friend, Emily McIntyre, rode the streetcar to Caldwell High. She enjoyed playing basketball for both schools.
On November 12, 1930, Addie married Cecil Pfost at the Emmett Methodist Church.  They were married for 56 years. Their son, Mel, was born at the Whitney ranch and their daughter, Lanetta, was born at their home in Middleton.  They lived in Middleton for 22 years and then moved to Lansing Lane where they had since resided.
Addie was a member of the Middleton First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed the fellowship of her church family.  She will be missed not only by her family who loved her dearly, but also by all of her cherished friends whom she loved.
Addle is survived by Mel and his dear wife, Irma; her daughter, Lanetta; a sister, Florence Tinsley of Boise; a sister-in-law, Georgia Whitney of Caldwell; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
