William Nichols
    William Eugene "Bill" Nichols, 69, of Nampa, died Wednesday, July 24, 1996, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 1996, at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.  Pastor Mike Howard, pastor of the Nampa Church of the Open Door, will officiate.  Military graveside rites will be given by the Nampa V.F.W. #3465.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    William Eugene "Bill" Nichols was born on December 13, 1926, in St. George, Kansas, to William H. & Carrie Henry Nichols.  At the age of six, he moved to Nampa where he was reared and educated.
    He enlisted into the U.S. Navy in 1943 and served during WWII.
   He married Betty A. Krajnik on November 13, 1948, in Nampa.  Bill worked at Davies Hardware and Lloyds Lumber for several years in Nampa.  In 1964 he began to work at the Amalgamated Sugar Factory and retired in 1985 as a storeroom supervisor.
    He was a member of the Nampa Elks Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Bill was an avid fisherman.
    He is survived by: His wife, Betty A. Nichols of Nampa; Two sons & a daughter-in-law, Fred E. & Wanda Nichols of Nampa and Jerry L. Nichols of Nampa; A brother & sister-in-law, Larry H. & Sandra Rose of Rupert, ID; two grandchildren, Traci Pahl & her husband, Steve of Seattle, and Shaun Nichols of Nampa.
    He was preceded in death by his parents.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Sunday and Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program, 1512 12th Ave. Nampa, Idaho 83686.
