Samuel Munden
Services for Samuel L. Munden, 77, Eagle, who died
Wednesday, Feb. 13, in a Boise,
nursing home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the
Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Parma.
The Rev. Larry Martin of the Eagle
United
Methodist
Church
will officiate.
Interment will follow at the
Parma Cemetery.
He
was born March 1, 1907, in Keytesville,
Sheraton County,
Mo., the son of Miles and Hattie
Munden. He was
reared, and educated in Missouri.
He married Margaret Sears on Jan. 29, 1932, at
Moberly, Colorandolph County, Mo. they came to
Parma
where they farmed until 1945.
In 1945, they returned to
Missouri, where they resided until
1954. In 1954,
they returned to Parma, where
he farmed and worked for the
University
of Idaho Agriculture Experiment
Station
until his retirement in 1972.
At that time they moved to Eagle where they had since
made their home.
He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and
fishing.
He is survived by his wife of Eagle; one daughter,
Elaine Rippey of Eagle; three sons, Larry and Robert of
Boise and Sam Jr. of Eagle; one brother, Emmett of Dalton,
Mo.; two sisters, Ethel Burns of
Lexington, Mo.,
and Nina Pritchard of
Parma; and 10 grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in
Caldwell from today 5 to 9 p.m. and at the Dakan
Chapel in Parma
from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday.
