Rosary devotions for Raul "Rudy" Pena, 54, 16 17th Ave. N. Nampa, who died Tuesday at a Nampa hospital from smoke inahalation resulting from a fire his home, will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church.  The Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M., will be the celebrant.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
    Pena, a chef, was born Feb, 21, 1931 at Karnes City, Texas, a son of Adolpho and Matiana Gomez Pena.  He was reared and attended school in Texas.  He moved to Nampa in 1946.
    He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, then returned to Nampa, where he worked for Tony Rodriguez part-time until 1959, when he began working full-time for Rodriguez as a chef.
    He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
    He is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Beserra of Pharr, Texas; his mother, Matiana Pena of Karnes City, Texas; one brother, Gilberto Pena, of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Maria Contreras and Elosia Perez, both of Karnes City, Texas; and several nieces, nephew and cousins, here and in Texas.
    Friends may call at Flahiff .Funeral Chapel of Nampa today from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Monday until noon.
